The photo of my Uncles' Frank and Guy brought back many Wivenhoe memories. Their sister also lived with them until her death. Frank used to collect threepenny bits in an old bag made of sail canvas which he would give to me once the bag was full. It was very heavy for a little girl to carry from Broadway House to Alma House, The Avenue.
Broadway House looks very different today compared with how it looked back in the late 50's and 60's! Celia Brand (nee Downing).
